The Organization Committee has been actively involved in much of the group’s “behind the scenes” business.
? Developed membership levels and designed application form.
? Cleaned and set up the RMSA office at 10014 E 63rd Street.
? Obtained a small grant for computer purchase.
? Worked with Truman Heartland Foundation to establish an account for initial funding.
? Oversaw the process of creating the group’s logo and branding through a volunteer process of meeting with design professionals to get community input.
? Developed invoicing system.
? With the volunteer assistance of a local attorney we compiled and completed information for our Articles of Incorporation, and filed them with the state of Missouri on 2/23/09.
? Compiled and presented the RMSA Conflict of Interest Policy, which was adopted by the Board on 3/4/09.
? Researched and wrote the RMSA Bylaws, adopted by the Board on 6/3/09.
? Compiled and completed the organization’s 501(c)3 application, which was successfully submitted 7/10/09 and approved on 9/3/09.
